When trying to overcome addiction, it’s better to think of recovery as a journey instead of a set destination. It takes more than a few addiction therapy sessions to overcome years of substance abuse and addictive behaviors. After clients complete the first level of Rehab Treatment at Crest View Recovery Center in Asheville, North Carolina, we recommend our Intensive Outpatient Program for ongoing care.
The beginning of our Rehab Treatment Program lays the groundwork for sustainable sobriety. Therapists, psychiatrists, counselors and other addiction treatment professionals will help you get to the root of your addiction and establish long-term recovery goals. However, whether it’s your first time in rehab or you’ve tried recovery before, transitioning back into society after treatment isn’t always easy. Although you’ve broken your chemical dependence and learned to modify addictive behaviors, early post-treatment sober living can transform into relapse if you’re not careful.
CRVC’s Intensive Outpatient Program merges independent living with ongoing therapy. Most individuals spend 4–6 weeks in our program as they learn how to effectively maintain their sobriety. During this time, you’ll see our counselors and licensed therapists three times a week for about three hours per session. Our Intensive Outpatient Program ensures that you don’t skip a beat along your recovery journey.
For example, our program includes:
- Individual and group therapy
- Family therapy
- 12-step support meetings
- Access to our on-site psychiatrist
Getting Back to the Rest of Your Life
One of the best things about our Intensive Outpatient Program is returning to your regular everyday routine. Moreover, after being away from your daily responsibilities, you’ll return to your family, school, employment, and other obligations. Thanks to our reality therapy program, you’ll be well-prepared to navigate obstacles and triggers that could cause you to relapse.
Furthermore, the transition back to daily life will be smooth and you will have the coping skills and relapse prevention training you need. This transition can be difficult for many people. However, we won’t let you return to daily life without the confidence to continue your lifelong recovery.
What Happens After Completing Treatment?
Just like our professionals guided you on the road to recovery, CVRC will always be there to help you along the way—even after treatment. Upon completing our Intensive Outpatient Program, you’ll have access to our exclusive Alumni program, which helps you stay in touch with our facility as well as current and former program participants.
